Meet Laverne, a six year old Boxer/Mastiff mix weighing 70 pounds.

Laverne is a sweet, gentle soul with the most adorable droopy ears and a heart full of love. She was found running loose with another dog and is now hoping to find the forever family she's always deserved.

While Laverne may be a little shy when meeting new people, it doesn't take long to see her loving personality shine through. She's incredibly human-oriented and just wants to be close to her people. A kind word, a gentle touch, and a little reassurance go a long way with this lovely girl. She truly wants to please and is happiest when she knows she's made you smile.

Laverne would do best with a family that understands she may need a little time to settle into a new home. With patience, encouragement, and positive reinforcement, her confidence will continue to grow. Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 48-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit. All dogs must leave with a collar and leash. All cats must leave in a pet carrier for their safety. Renters may be required to have proof of landlord approval.
