Meet Dorris, a seven year old Chihuahua mix weighing 14 pounds.

Dorris is a sweet girl who is trying to make sense of all the changes around her. Right now, she's feeling a little nervous and unsure, and you can almost see her wondering, "How did I get here?" With a little time, patience, and reassurance, Dorris is ready to show the loving companion she can be.

This gentle girl may need some time to warm up, but once she feels safe, she is sure to form a special bond with her people. Dorris would do best in a calm home without young children right now, where she can relax, build confidence, and learn that she is safe and loved.

NOTE: All pre-adoption questionnaires are subject to approval. Adopters must be 18 years of age. Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 48-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit. All dogs must leave with a collar and leash. All cats must leave in a pet carrier for their safety. Renters may be required to have proof of landlord approval.
