Meet Bully, a five-year-old Pit mix weighing 41 pounds.

Bully is a sweet boy who has been through more than his fair share, and he is ready for a fresh start. He was seized by Animal Control due to neglect along with two other dogs. When he arrived, he was suffering from severe ear infections in both ears, as well as skin issues and yeast infections. Thankfully, he has received treatment and is feeling much better, but he may be prone to future ear infections and could have some hearing loss from the damage caused by his previous infections.

Bully may also have a heart murmur, so his future family should plan to follow up with their veterinarian to monitor this and determine if any additional care is needed. Because of his history of skin and yeast issues, he may also benefit from a special diet long-term to help prevent future flare-ups. His adopters should be prepared to continue working with their veterinarian to keep him feeling his best.

Despite everything he has experienced, Bully is a loving, people-oriented boy who absolutely enjoys attention. He has the softest, velvety ears and is always happy to receive some affection. He also loves going for walks and is excited to experience the world around him.

A lot of things are still new to Bully, and after the life he has had, it makes sense that he could use some time and positive experiences to build his confidence. Continued socialization and gentle exposure to new people, places, and experiences will help him learn that the world can be a safe and happy place.

Bully has already overcome so much, and now he deserves a home that will give him the patience, care, and love he should have had all along. In return, this sweet boy is ready to soak up every bit of attention and start enjoying the life he was meant to have.
