Meet Butch, a one-year-old Pit/Lab mix weighing 66 pounds.

Butch is the biggest baby you'll ever meet, wrapped up in a very strong body. He was found as a stray, and the person who found him considered keeping him. However, when left unattended and bored, Butch discovered that digging holes in the backyard was a great way to entertain himself. This type of behavior isn't uncommon for dogs who need more exercise, enrichment, and mental stimulation.

Butch can be nervous when faced with new situations, but a little baby talk is all it takes to help him start opening up. Once he feels comfortable, his sweet personality comes shining through. He loves snuggles, gets the zoomies, and bonds quickly with his people.

Butch is a strong boy who would benefit from continued socialization and confidence-building. He'll do best with someone who can provide plenty of exercise, enrichment, patience, and positive guidance.

If you're looking for a big-hearted boy who will bond closely with you and happily trade those backyard holes for adventures, snuggles, and zoomies, Butch may be your guy.

Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 48-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit.
