Meet Kimber, a one and a half year old Doxie/Terrier mix weighing 30 pounds.

Kimber is a sweet little girl who is looking for a patient and understanding home where she can finally feel safe and comfortable.

Kimber came to us from a home with fourteen dogs, all of whom had lived indoors their entire lives. We don't know exactly what breeds are mixed into Kimber, as the dogs have quite a variety of looks. Some resemble Shepherds, while others look more Spaniel-like. Kimber is short and long-bodied, so we suspect there may even be some Dachshund in her family tree.

Right now, Kimber is understandably very scared and overwhelmed by all the changes. She is a sweet girl, but she will need someone willing to take things slowly and give her plenty of time, patience, socialization, and TLC as she learns that the world can be a safe place.

Because of her timid nature, Kimber would do best in a home without young children. Her new family will also need to be especially careful when she is outside. Kimber should never be left off leash in an unsecured yard, as she may become frightened and try to run.

Kimber may need a little extra time to come out of her shell, but with the right person by her side, we believe this sweet girl has so much potential to blossom.
