Meet Gypsy, a six month old Border Collie/German Shepherd mix weighing 22 pounds.

Gypsy is a sweet, incredibly smart girl looking for someone to help her blossom! She came to us alongside her siblings after her family found themselves with more animals than they could manage. Now, she's ready to find a home where her intelligence, energy, and wonderful personality can truly shine.

Gypsy can be a little nervous in new situations, but she becomes more outgoing, curious, and confident as she settles in. She's exceptionally smart and trainable, and she quickly figures out who has the good stuff! Treats are a huge motivator, but she also loves neck massages and warm praise. She takes treats gently and is not mouthy, nippy, or bitey, making her a lovely candidate for continued training.

This girl has the potential to be so much more than just a companion. She could be a fantastic partner for someone interested in dog sports, nose work, search work, or other activities that challenge her clever mind. She would also thrive with an active family ready to include her in their adventures and help her learn new skills. She has beautiful physical structure, plenty of energy, and a wonderful ability to settle down after exercise and a good meal or treat. Give her a Kong filled with a little peanut butter, and you'll have one happy girl!

Gypsy is still learning about leash walking and will benefit from continued socialization, training, and positive experiences. She can be vocal when first confined to a crate or behind a gate, but she tends to settle quickly when given a little time. She has also shown some curiosity about finding ways through or over barriers, so a secure yard and supervision while she learns her new surroundings will be important.

Gypsy is a great medium size with so much potential. She's the kind of dog who will reward someone's investment in her with a wonderful bond, a willing attitude, and an eager mind ready to learn. Whether you want to explore dog sports, take on training challenges, or simply have an active, loving companion by your side, Gypsy could be the girl for you.

She just needs someone who sees what she's capable of and is excited to help her get there. With the right guidance, engagement, and love, Gypsy is ready to blossom into something truly special!
