Meet Honey, a one-year-old Blue Heeler/Cattle Dog mix weighing 22 pounds.

Honey is a very sweet girl who has been through a lot and deserves a chance to heal, feel safe, and discover what it means to be loved. She came into our care with significant injuries and infected wounds, so right now, she's focused on healing and getting the care she needs.

Because Honey is still recovering, it can be difficult to get a full picture of her personality just yet. So far, she has shown us a gentle, sweet side, and we have a feeling that as she starts feeling better, we'll get to see more of her personality shine through. With her suspected Australian Cattle Dog mix, we wouldn't be surprised if a little sass, spunk, and herding-dog attitude start making an appearance!

Australian Cattle Dogs are typically intelligent, loyal, active dogs who enjoy having a job to do. They often thrive with training, mental enrichment, and opportunities to explore the world with their people. As Honey heals and her personality becomes clearer, she may enjoy a family who can offer her a balance of affection, guidance, and fun activities suited to her needs.

For now, Honey needs patience, kindness, and the opportunity to recover at her own pace. We can't wait to see her blossom, gain confidence, and show us more of the special girl hiding beneath all she's been through.

Honey's story deserves a happier chapter, one filled with comfort, love, and a family who will help her shine. Could you be the one to give her that chance?
