Meet Athena, a three-year-old Lab/Mastiff mix weighing 111 pounds.

Athena is a BIG girl with a curious mind and a love for exploring the world around her! Her breed mix is a bit of a mystery, but we wouldn't be surprised if she had some German Shepherd and livestock guardian breeds in her family tree. Whatever her mix may be, this beautiful girl certainly has a presence!

Athena is a friendly, confident, and independent lady who enjoys getting out on leash and investigating everything around her. New sights, interesting smells, and unfamiliar surroundings are all opportunities for her to put her curious nose to work! She enjoys exploring at her own pace and taking in all the world has to offer.

As a big girl with an independent streak, Athena would love a home that appreciates her adventurous nature and gives her plenty of opportunities to explore. She's a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys getting outside and letting their dog experience new things.

NOTE: All pre-adoption questionnaires are subject to approval. Adopters must be 18 years of age. Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 48-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit. All dogs must leave with a collar and leash. All cats must leave in a pet carrier for their safety. Renters may be required to have proof of landlord approval.
