Yakima Humane Society is excited to launch the Music For Change concert series - a dynamic series of concerts which raise money for animal welfare in Yakima Valley. Valley favorites Cody Beebe & The Crooks were the perfect band for the inaugural concert.
Cody Beebe & The Crooks are a Northwest Country staple and have been around the block a time or two, touring through 30 US states and 7 European countries. In the past two years, family and personal matters took them off of the road and out of the recording studio, but summer 2018 they started writing new music and are currently in the studio with plans to release summer 2019. Known for their progressive rock take on country music, they have found themselves playing Watershed at the Gorge three times, opening for notable acts all over the country, backing Nashville recording artist Austin Jenckes, and even starting their own festival as a result of their die-hard fanbase, Chinook Fest. With a new-found energy, fresh songs, and tour plans on the horizon, you really ain't seen nothin' yet.

The Fur Ball is Yakima Humane's Annual Dinner, Auction, & Party is the most important fundraiser of the year and is presented this year by title sponsor Mariano Morales Law.
This special evening supports the mission of the Yakima Humane Society to save the lives of our community's homeless pets. The community's most compassionate animal lovers and advocates come together for the evening to enjoy fine dining, incredible local wines, bid on fabulous auction items and dance the night away. Last year's sold out event prompted this year's venue - the Modern Living Building at the State Fair Park.
In addition to all the fun, with your support you help save more lives. Proceeds from the Fur Ball Gala provide food, shelter, and medical treatment for the animals in our care. Your support also supports important community engagement programs which provide resources and support about the importance of spaying or neutering pets, responsible pet ownership, and kind treatment of our fuzzy friends.
Visit our Fur Ball website to buy tickets and preview our live auction.
See Spot Run is an annual 5K fundraising run/walk benefiting the Yakima Humane Society. This is a fun family event for people and pets of all ages promoting health and wellness in our community. You'll have a great time and get that warm and furry feeling by running or walking to support homeless pets in our community.
Your registration fee and all fundraising proceeds will help us meet our goal of $25,000 to support the great programs we have for community pets. You and your family, with or without a four-legged companion, are invited to participate in this furry and fabulous event!
Participants are encouraged, but not required, to bring their well-behaved dog to run or walk the race. All dogs must be current on their vaccinations and must be leashed at all times. For the safety of other runners, please do not use flexi or retractable leashes. Aggressive and female dogs in heat are strictly prohibited. Dog owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs - baggies will be provided.
Lace up those running shoes, grab a leash and join us at Sherman Park on May 26th. All proceeds from the event directly support the thousands of cats and dogs that the shelter receives every year. Run or Walk. The shelter pets will love you for it!
